I applied for removal of condition on my green card with Nebraska Service Center. To begin with, that was a wrong office to apply. Anyhow, they accepted the application and sent a Notice of Action with receipt date of June 02, 2003. The present application processed at the Nebraska Service Center is Sept 2003. On inquiring, about my application, they sent a letter saying the they cannot LOCATE my application and will continue to search for it.
On the other hand, I am eligible to apply for citizenship, since I am married to citizen for 5 years and he has been citizen for more than 3 years now.

To summarize, I am confused so as to WAIT for the Nebraska Service Center to issue me a Green Card OR Apply for my citizenship with the correct California office(San Ligueul, I think).

Please Help?

Removal and Naturalization

Well, you are not alone. I had a similar experience. I applied in August, 2003 and they still cannot find my file. So they told me to contact the local office. I went to the local office and they said that Nebraska had it. I contacted Nebraska and they said that local office have it and gave me a letter stating when they sent it to local office. Any way I had applied for Naturalization in late November. Finger printed in January. Received interview letter 6 days after finger printed. I scheduled an appointment for case I 751. And after waiting for like 2 hours even though I had an appoitment. I was rescheduled for another interview soon. I showed them all my INS forms since day one and pulled out my I 751 folder. And showed them the note where Nebraska stated that it was sent to the local office. So I was told that they have to locate it. Now the verdict is they will do both cases together. So go ahead and file for your N 400. I was told that if you haven't received an approval, you can apply 2 years and 90 days. Please check with your local district to verify. Good Luck.
