a question for the prince of the jungle...

since i got you on a green light...

my question is : everyone has to go through the process of name check. some take two weeks and some take two years to clear the name check.

If I have done Fingerprint Code 3 , does that expediate the name check ?
 
Has any one got approval recently after FP update

I believe FP+code 3 have t do nothing with name check, they are implementing code-3 becz to avoid unnecessary rush of ppl who have no intention to travel but they want their pp stamped. new process would help them to get biometrices same time at FP done. and after approval noone need to go for stamp unless emg travel. the plastic would be arriving in quick fashion.


Name check isn't start when u do FP, its occured immidiately/during the day u submit 485. and not single agency is involved its called "Inter agency record check" check it out "485 std procedure" on page 165

FP code and Namecheck

I do not think the FP code has anything to do with namecheck. Infact the whole process of FP is separate from the Name Check process. It is entirely possible for the FPs to clear while the name check is still pending.

Earlier there was one reason for delay (FP) and now there are two. Go figure.

Not sure about recent activity, ppl did share about this, and here now days I believe they are not sharing specificly. ask from ppl who recently got. they would tell. becz this is sequence many don't notice.

If u are assuming ppl are online looking on 'Green light' then u may not aware of it that Web is stateless, the greenlight u see doesn't represent realtime but session. (A normal session is 20 minutes, unless web server-administrator / web-master set by config/script)

try an experiement urself, if u have two computer, login and see green light . than close the browser, after 5 minute use another computer without login/pre logoff and u would see that ur name still have green light. :D
