EFile EAD renew and no self-schedule ASC appointment allowed

I EFiled EAD renew on 1/21/2005. The receipt did NOT give ASC Fingerprint Code. Instead it says to wait for USCIS to schedule appointment with ASC and Do NOT self-schedule the appointment through the USCIS Nationcal Customer Service Center.

What I have seen in this forum, in CIS website, and from my friend who EFiled just a few days earlier than I did, All Said - Please Call National Service Center to make an appointment.

Is this a new policy that do not call but wait for the appointment notice? Or this is unusual? :confused:

Just wait until you get a real notice from INS to schedule for FP.
 
I files on 01/05 and received the same msg. then 2 days later received another email saying that msg was an error and asking me to call and schedule for appointment. which i did
 
Confusing Message - e-file 765

As said earlier in the message, the message says, wait for letter from USCIS then schedule an appt. My friend said, I should call and make an appt soon after I e-file EAD ( not to wait for anything).

Please let us know your experience. I have e-filed EAD and AP on 01/29/05.

Nobody wrote the followup - I had the same message too - did people get their lettter or self scheduled their appmt?

Schedule the appointment right away using the receipt number you got in efiling. They do not need the your receipt in mail. ONLY the one you print out after e file application

When I call the 1-800 number to make appointment they asked us for the ASC fingerprint code which is blank for us , so said to wait for the notice and they refused to make the appointment. Please help me - is anyone else who got the 'Do not self schedule notice after efiling EAD', able to make the appmt with 1-800 number?

I did not have 'Do not self schedule notice after efiling EAD'. I called them and give them the receipt number they then gave me the ASC number on the phone. I am in VSC, maybe it is different

me too got the same msg. I had efiled and got the message do not self schedule......
Mine also belongs to ASC Newark may be it is the case with Newark.
I should mail supporting docs too.

I also made a mistake in the last entry to US date by a day on 765 . Does any one have an idea on how to correct it after efiling.


My EAD will be expiring in 2.4 months. How long will it take.
