Effective Date of Green Card ? 485 approval Date or 551 PP stamping Date

I would like to know what would be the effective date of your green card. Will it 485 approval Date or 551 PP stamping Date.

Neither. You are considered permanent resident since the date you have been "entered" into US as a lawful permanent resident. So if you see ur stamping, you will notice that the date of lawful admittance is much before the date of approval or the stamping. Check with ur attorney on that.
 
if you want to get really technical......its when your I-181 "CREATION OF RECORD OF LAWFUL PERMANENT RESIDENCE " is approved, which is usually on the same day as your I-485 approval date, or on the date you crossed the border into the United States after having passed a consular interview, or on the date you passed your interview at the local office.
 
When they stamp the I-551 on the passport, there will be a DOE (Date of Entry) noted. That is the date. It will usually be the approval date of the 485.
