Effect on NIW

How this retrogression is going to affect the NIW (self petition) for physicians working in HPSA for 5 years. I will be completing my 5 yr on Dec 28th 05. Will USCIS touch our cases or will they treat like any other EB category.

Wd appreciate any input on this.

I spoke to my lawyer this morning. Our cases are considered in EB2 category and will be equally affected.
However, after our 5 yrs are up, we can work wherever we want on work permit.
Totally sucks.

Appreciate you taking trouble to talk to lawyer.
What we all are going through is totally unfair. The NIW rule doesn't say anything about the EB category as such, but it is only in the interest of the National interest. Now it is in the interest of DOS and USCIS. From now on they should call this DOS I W or USCIS I W.
