Effect of overstay on Green Card processing ???

Hello Everyone,

My question is not directly related to I-485 processing but more on the consequences of someone else's actions on I-485 processing.

What happens when someone you sponcered for a visitor's visa violates their status either by overstaying or by working for someone while on B-2 status (without your knowledge, of course !)? Would that also affect the status of sponcers of the visitors visa in any way ?

I didn't quite understand your statement -- but, I am assuming you meant "continue to ignore the situation". I understand. But, what if a person on a visitor's visa violates their status and gets caught by INS somehow ? I just want to know if I, as a sponser, would be in trouble along with the person on visitor's visa in such a situation ??

nope...they wont prosecute you for that person's crime if thats what u r asking...but they might rethink if u r applying again for a visitor visa for someone else....
