Effect of Delay between online registration and actually submitting the OCI application

I have registered online for my OCI application. Due to a personel reason I would like to hold the actual (paper) submission by 2 months. Any body has any idea ,what if any, effect will it have on OCI approval.

None..your case will start being processed only when you submit the paperwork. In fact, you can ignore the old registration and create a new one after 2 months when you are ready to apply and you will get a new number. After you submit the docs, you get a File # which is what the processing is based on and which also appears on the U visa and the OCI booklet. Registering ahead is not going to keep your app at the front of the "Q"

Delay in submission of paperwork

For some reason I delayed the submission of paperwork by about four months after the online registration at Houston.
Used the original online registration without any adverse impact.
