Educational requirement for H1B Visa

Hello guys,

I am an engineer in Electronics and communication and working as a software developer in Boston. I am currently on L1B Visa and my company is trying to apply for H1B for me.

I just wanted to know whether it is necessary to have a Computer sience related degree (ie BE-computer science, MCA, etc) to get a H1B visa for working in US as a software developer?

NO need .. You can have any degree to get a H1B. I have seen people with B.SC B.com and B.A got their H1B's

Degree does not matter as far as your attorney or you can justify BCIS how you fit into the job requirement in their petition.
