Gurus,

I have couple of questions regarding the Educationnal Qualifications and Work Experience letters

1. The CIC says original transcripts of all degrees must be submitted in universitysealed
envelopes. I have completed my degree way back in 1990 and it would be very difficult to get the transacripts from the University in a sealed University envelop. What are the alternate option i have here. Is it okay if I submiit the copies of mark sheets (semester wise) notorized?

2. I do not have any employment contracts from my past/present employers but do have the experirnce letters in a generic format without any official company seal. Submiting notorized copies of these letters will be enough?

Please help with your suggestions.

Thank you!

You can send the notarized copies of your mark sheets.

Experience letters in generic format will not do. Try to get letters where your job responsibilities have been mentioned in detail. Request your boss or one of your peers to write it for you.

You should also provide employment proof like tax returns, pay stubs etc.

Unless the institution is not functioning very well or has undergone major transitions, you should be able to obtain such transcripts. My first degree (US) was rec'd in 1978 and it takes me about a week to get a transcript. Most US schools have the info on-line. I wouldn't assume that because of the time that has passed that you can't get it; schools are used to such requests. Just a thought!
