EB3 to EB2- H1B in last year

Hi,

I am currently working with Company A, who got a PERM approval under EB3. I140 approval is not obtained yet.Company A will not file PERM under EB2.
This is the last year on my H1B.

I want to move to Company B, who will file PERM under EB2. Is that a good idea? Will I get my 1 year extension for H1B, if I join Company B?

Any help appreciated.
