EB3 Retrogression Again?

Hello Everybody,
Is there a rumour or is it for real that the May visa bulletin will show EB3 category for India to be retrogressed again to 1999-2000.Does any one has any news about it? I would request anybody to please post their thoughts.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Working In 3rd EAD. Will be applying for the 4th EAD soon.
 
PD is Priority Date. This is when your Labor Cert was approved. 485 cases are reviewed based on PD. Currently they are reviewing cases 2001/2002 which means that they are way behind, i.e. retrogression. they are separate threads dedicated to the issue. very important so check them out.

Well, this is more of a coming prediction rather than a rumour. Based on the March 2007 VISA bulletin from USCIS, its already predicting retrogression in the coming months:

E. EMPLOYMENT THIRD PREFERENCE VISA AVAILABILITY DURING THE COMING MONTHS

Little if any forward movement in the Employment Third preference category is expected in the near future. Recent discussions with both Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS) and the Department of Labor indicate that the demand for numbers with pre-August 2002 priority dates is likely to be extremely high in the coming months as both agencies continue to work on their backlogs. This could easily cause a retrogression of the current Employment Third preference cut-off dates should that demand begin to materialize at CIS offices during the spring and summer months.

thank you gc2005nyc and GCdumbo for explaining PD and retrogression

........our LC approval date is march 2003 and file date is july ,17,2002.(and this was pre appoved LC, and we filed I140/I485 in june 2003) now according to my understaning our PD is july 2002....am i right as ours is worldwide EB3 case ...so where we stand now......can you please expalin.
 
Yes you are correct . Your Priority date is july ,17,2002 ,EB3 , world wide .

That means your PD is current .

I had an appointment for EAD on March 28TH 2007. The concerned officer Seemed nice, so i also asked about my I485 . He called someone and then told me that your case is with the officer and i am going to send him the message to expedite the process .............so next day they approved my EAD .....but no lud on I 485 yet.......should i wait or contact them again

and thankyou for wishing me good luck i really need that

today we received e mails that our case has been transfered to washington DC for interview (our cases were still at vermont service center


On April 25, 2007, we transferred this case to our WASHINGTON, DC location to
conduct the interview that is a standard part of processing this I485

please share your experince and let me know if this is good thing or do we have to wait again for some years.......and if anyone has an interview experience please share.
