I am posing this question for a friend who is at work now and can not get on the internet:
My wife is from Korea and is currently working as an account. She filed EB2 RIR (she has a master's degree) in 11/2004. Since the case has been pending in Philly BEC for a while, she is now thinking about filing Perm. Because of Perm's sticter requirement, she will have to file EB3 now. And she will not be able to keep her original Priority Date. Because retrogression does not affect people from Korea (meaning she can immediately file 140 and 485 together after Labor is certified), filing EB3 Perm now seems to be a faster way to get to 485 stage. But I recently have been hearing retrogression will soon apply to everybody, not only people from China, India, and Philippians. What should she do? Filing Perm EB3 now or wait for EB2 RIR?
Thanks for your advice!
