EB3 cutoff priority dates announced !!!!!!!!

All EB3 CPers from India, China and Phillipines -

Dept of State has announced the cut off priority dates for applicants for all EB3 applicants as 1st Jan 2002.

I guess I am lucky since my priority date is Sept 2001. For all those whose priority dates fall in 2002 and later, you will have to closely watch the priority dates as the consulate will schedule an interview only if your priority date is before the cut-off announced by the Dept of State each month.

Retrograted buy almost three years !!!!!

Was this much retrogation expected?

What will happen to cases who's I 140 is approved and just waiting on 485 or CP ?
 
Is any one going to call Consulate to see if we have interviews or not,
what the heck a try does not hurt to see if they have a date against our case number ?

After I see this thread, it has mentioned "Dept of State has announced the cut off priority dates for applicants for all EB3 applicants as 1st Jan 2002.".

it is bcos it will show in the letter that is sent by NVC to the lawyer abt case review completion.

I emailed the Mumbai consulate today. They are very prompt in replying to emails. So I am hoping to get a reply tomorrow.

I called chennai consulate totry my luck they said the interview date has not been scheduled yet. as soon as they schedule the customer rep said they will forward the appointment letter and i ahve to download the P4 from website.

I listened patiently and said thank you maam :(

Guess the PD regression News is good for some and Not Good for some - like me. But sure a relief for all. My PD is pending by 11 months (well almost a year). Lets see how this moves. Congrats to those who are through. Please keep posting your Interview Experience.

My application was forwarded to NWD on 19th Nov 2004 and my PD is Nov2002.

It just seemed few months back that the GC is in your hands after so many Ups and Downs (Well especially after Market retest at labor and RFE at every stage ...) and suddenly it slipped away and here starts another wait , another 'website' updates required. I feel like Guiene pig, being experimented by some smart politicians with Bright new ideas ......

May be some of us had to go thru another step but sure its around the corner. few more months ...and sure those would be final ....

Lets keep in touch and keep the spirits up.
I guessed the PDs are going to go abck to first quarter of Fy02, 1-6th month of 2002 was my prediction early on in the week -- Became true.

NOW my second prediction is
WE ALL ARE GOING TO HAVE OUR INTERVIEWS IN JULY 2005. Some even before that.
I beleive STRONGLY that the PDs are going to be current in July 2005.

Keep Upbeat and Pray and hope for best.

Any prediction how they will move ? i mean , Today Jan02, next month it will feb 02 ?

My priority date is sep 2002 and waiting for packet 3 to get generated .

My case is also with the Chennai consulate. My PD (Labor Application date) is June 2001. So I am hoping to get an interview in Jan. The question I have for you is - what is the best time to call the consulate or is it easier to send them an e-mail? Thanks.

i will call the board number in the morning and 28112000 and ask for Immigratn visa interview appointments.

they will fwd to consular section.
