EB3 cutoff date update from State Dept.

My Guess

I am not an Immigration professional. As I mentioned this is my guess based on info gathered from various websites.

On an average service centers are taking 2 years to process I-485. CP is even faster. So there are not many guys with PD before 2002.

Your guess is is the 3rd quarter of 2002 or dec 2002?
 
My guess is Dec 2002. Few people are waiting for labor clearance for more than 2.5 years. Also service centers are processing 485 applications in 2 years. So there is no point in establishing cut-off dates more than 2 years back.

Pkt 3 Review complete since Nov 4th

Hello Gurus

My case status was updated on 4th Nov 2004 as "Your case has been completed .... wait for 8 weeks for further instructions" I guess that means that my P3 review is complete by NVC.

Now the question is , usually per past cases when my case would most likely forward to consulate ?
Would that get affected by the new Retrogression of PD ? My PD is Nov2002 / EB3.

Can someone please throw some light on the subject if I should just go back to sleep like in Old days of Labor certification or is there still some hope due to this new rule ?

Experts pls share your thoughts.

The message should change to "NVC has completed the processing of this application and has forwarded it to the embassay or consualte in XXX on YYY..."

This takes about 1 or 2 weeks I think. Check the range from cptracker.com
Let us know when your status changes.

Response from Chennai consulate ---

I changed my email id for privacy..
But below is the email i got from chennai consulate when i sent them an email about the PD concerns we have.
My wife is in india and she called the consulate and they told her the same and also asked her to refer the email that they had sent me.

guys,

well this is the response frm the indian girl who is in the customer response unit and looks like it was the same girl who talked to my wife as well.
I hope she had the right info.
Again how would be the best way to know the interview date before the Dec 13th( monday im hoping thats when they will publish dates) website update.

I know sanjay76 and others got to know their dates in the first week of november for their December interviews

gurus, pls comment on what the best and least annoying way to consulate folks to get the dates known.

Thanks for the Update , especially that email from Consulate..

I was referring to CPTracker and it seems that NVC has put the cases on Hold or something , when sending to consulate. Its been more than 2 weeks now :-( after the NVC completed the review.

May be they got an instructions till this PD thing gets cleared up , to hold the cases ... Dont know ...another unseen hurdle .. Lets hope for the best

Guess I was just worrying unnecessarly ....
