i was navigating the boards and wasn't able to find an EB2 forum so i made a thread in here. is it okay? :D anyway, i just want to ask does any one know what the age limit is for those who want to apply under this preference? before that though, is my mother's friend, who has a 20-year experience in teaching (both in college and in high school) and holds a Ph.D. but already 47 years old, eligible for this? well, what do you think?

NIW I-140 approved

There should be no age issue. I am 49. I submitted I-140 for me, I-485 and I-131 for my family on March 15, 2005 under NIW (EB2) through lawyer. We were fingerprinted on March 30. My I-140 was approved on April 1. That's really fast. I am not sure how long I need to wait for I-485 approval. Does anybody have soem idea?

Are you sure that you submitted on March 15, 2005?
Unreal.

Yes, just last month. Vermont center. I got the email from USCIS said that this case has been approved, but I have not received the formal notice yet.

I got the email. I have also checked the usics website. All indicated that the case has been approved. I have not received the mail notice. It should be real. I hope it is not an April fool joke.

For Zhxgu:

Thought should post here too!!

Hi Zhxgu,

Thanks for replying to my message...I want to obtain more info, if you have, on how your case was quickly processed...I have also filed 140/145 (NIW) for myself and my family at Vermont, my receipt notice was of 25 March 2005...

I wanted to ask did u also apply for EAD, and if u did how soon did u get that, I mean ur case was approved in like 2 weeks? and you even got fingerprint with in that time frame!

Secondly, would you mind sharing your case details, (field etc.)

Thank you very much...

After I had worked for 15 years in chemical engineering since obtained BS, I decided to continue my study here. I got my MS in 2003, and I am studying for a Ph.D. now. I did quite a lot of research projects, published some papers and one patent, also committee members of some coneferences. I consulted the lawyer for my conditions, he suggetsed I should apply EB2 NIW. I provided lawyer with available evidences and 9 reference letters. Lawyer prepared the cover letter. It took quite time, about half year.
