EB2 or EB3

Hi
My employer plan to file my GC.
What is eligible for EB2 or EB3
My lawyer and employer told it is base on our salary? Is it true. I have master degree (MCA)and 10 years experience.

Please help me for this time

You will be eligible for EB2.

BS - EB3
BS+5yes exp OR Masters - EB2

Currently i am working in LA. But my employer and lawyer told me i will get salary abvoe 90k for eligible for EB2.

Curently i am getting 70k. am i eligible for EB2 or EB3?

Is it true?

It is not true. LA / CA salaries/prevailing wages are high compare to other sate.

Suppose prevailing wages for a programmers is $35 per/hour in California, the same job prevailing salary in MO is only $22.

It all depends on what job is offered to you permanently for LC.

Suppose your company offered job for Analyst/Programmer, it may require BS with 3years exp. If the same job is offered to you, since you have MCA you may not qualify EB2.


If the Job offered is Sr Programmer MS+0 or 1 yrs exp, then you may qualify for EB2.
