I am also EAC 01 018 (EB2/RIR/India/PD Sep 99). Still waiting like you. AVM is still "Your I-485 ATATPR was received on ...". GOOD LUCK.

Lottery

This approval indeed can be regarded as a very lucky one. I have not been noticing many such Oct 2000 approvals after this one. A few with ND much earlier that this case have spoken to the IIO and found that their files are not even assigned to an officer as yet.

Every month in the first week INS conducts a lottery draw and a few get their chance. The remaining go through the agony as usual. This has been a trend so far. I have also seen a posting where in a Dec 2000 case got approved and all the Dec 2000 folks are eagerly waiting assuming that VSC is going at great strides. The reality is VSC is going at its original speed bit with a different strategy to make it look better in terms of approval status.

Wishful thinking is what gives us stamina to wait.
