Eb2 cover letter - seeking help

I am doing my EB2 application myself and its also going to be self petition. I work as post-doc in very good university and with a well-known mentor.

Where should I add these two points in the main cover letter? Is these intrinsic merit or national scope or some where else?

Nowhere! ROTFL. Postdoc is a vulgarism in the CIS lexicon. Well known university doesnt mean National interest. Nor does a well known mentor. However, you must use these factors subtly, wherever possible, avoiding open allusion to them. Get a great letter from this mentor about how you are saving the world with him; and include his CV as an exhibit, and write a few lines about his credentials.. my mentor won the Nobel in __ for __ and he has the following to say about me "...". Same for your university. Include a nice brochure from them, and use all these as abetting factors, not your own claims.

Thanks. Should I be saying research fellow instead of post doctoral research fellow? or ...

Right. Avoid that word everywhere, most importantly, on your offer letter/ department letter.
