EB2 Audit Taking Too Long, Need Help...

Hello,
I am currently on H1B, Just filed my extension for 7th Year. My Labor was filed last year in Oct'07 under EB2. In Dec'07 we received a audit and the reply was submitted in a timely manner.
Since then we have not heard anything from DOL and its been already 10 months. In such difficult market situation, its scary every friday on getting terminated.
I had a few question, the answers of which are really appreciated:
1) How much more time (appx) do you think it will take DOL to clear all audits.
2) Since I am on my 7th Year Ext and my labor is not approved yet, can I still transfer H1 if needed.
Your help and time is really appreciated. Any information in this regard will really be helpful.

----Yes, you can transfer H1 if needed as your LC was filed more than 365 days ago. It does not have to be approved to take advantage of 7th year ext.
