EB1b recent approval?

Hi, All:

Following is my case:

EB1B (outstanding researcher) concurrent filing I140/I485 on last November (RD of Nov.19, 2004). FP was taken on Jan, 2005.

Havenot heard anything yet about I140. :confused:

Anybody has the recent approval from NSC on the category of EB1b?

All informations are highly appreciated! :) :) :)

My frind filed EB1b 9/2005 in NSC, got approval last week. Mine is EB11/NIW on 5/2005, still waiting.

Hi, Freinds:

Thank you for your reply. After concur rent filling for 6 months, I just got second FP notice for the biometrics. That is all I got.

My first FP was taken on Jan, 2005.

Anyone has the similar experience of getting the FP biometrics? What does that mean for the whole I140/I485 process? They touched this case after receiving it for 6 months and what will they do?

FP biometric

My I-485 was filed one year later after I-140. I got my PF and biometrics done on May 19th. This is the fiirst FP notice I got. I suppost it does not mean anything, just regular a 1-485 procedure.

EB-1 OR, NSC
I-140: April 2004
I-485: April 2005
FP: May 19, 2005

AD: I-140 ?
I-485?

Thank you! I am curiouse that only myself got the notice for the FP biometrics. My spouse did not get it. I filed I140/I485 both for myself and for my spouse at the same time. Maybe, they didnot send the notification at the same time?

I-140/EB1-OR approval

Hi all,

It is my turn finally. My I-140/EB1-OR petition was approved May 31, 2005. It took less than 3 months (see my signature). My paper I-140 approval has arrived today. It is interesting that there is no any change in my I-140 status online so far (still ‘petition was received’). I also didn't receive an email from USCIS. So a paper approval notice has arrived first. It was only LUD (last update) change June 1, 2005 in my online portfolio. Perhaps, NSC works very hard and they have no time to change status on their web site or send email notification.

I believe that my case is strong: I held O-1 visa ‘Alien of extraordinary ability’ during 2001-04 (currently H-1B), and generally this category has higher standards than the ‘Outstanding Professor or Researcher’ category. However, I decided to file ‘Green card’ in the category EB1-OR (or EB1-2, EB1b) rather than in EB-EA (or EB1-1, EB1a). Category EB1-OR is more straightforward and EB-EA is very subjective.

Got the update for my 140 case (EB1B, OR).

RFE: Submit a letter offering the Alien tenure or tenure track teaching position or permanent research position in the alien's acedamic field......

I am in the Univerisity. Any one has the experience? What content should the response cover?

Any sample letter or information will be highly appreciated.

Check for Srikanthshiva. I think he got the same RFE. You can contact him He got the exact RFE like yours with wordings. Hope this helps.
