EB1 requirement on working abroad

I understand one of the requirements for EB1 (Multinational Executive or Manager) is to work outside the USA for at least one year. If a H1B holder in managerial position switches from firm A to another firm B in the USA and then works outside the USA in the subsidiary of firm B for one year, is this person eligible to apply for EB1 upon his return to USA through same firm B ?

Who said that working outside the USA for at least one year is a requirement of EB1?
