So your message never changed to fingerprints recieved, case resumed?
You were stressing out over not getting any LUD's, while I'm stressing over having an extra LUD with no message change :)
 
That's right, CT_Dude. Only one LUD on 4/8/2005, the day after my fingerprinting, with no message change. The next update was this afternoon (7/1/05) saying that my case had been approved and my card hasd been ordered.

Question about card mailing after approval and ordering

Dear all,

My I-485 approval e-mail (sent July 1) said:

"On June 30, 2005, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready."

Yesterday I got the approval notice (I-797) in the snail mail, which said:
"The above application has been approved. The immigration card facility will mail the new alien registration card directly to the applicant in approximately 120 days".

120 DAYS!!! Does everybody's approval notice say something like this? From other postings in this forum, I was under the impression that once the card had been ordered, it was mailed within a few days (a week or even less). I haven't received a "card mailed" e-mail yet. Please let me know of your experiences. I hate to think that I would have to wait 4 more months to get the card.

I think they just cover themselves, but they are usually faster than that. I don't remember exactly, but mine took circa one month. Also, email notification is imperfect. It could happen that you get the card and no email notification at all. But, if you do get the email notification about "card ordered", you should get the card in a few days after the email.

935 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W.,
Washington, D.C. 20535.

Some people also wrote to William Hooton, some to Cannon.

As for e-mail you sent to FBI - it takes 5-6 months to receive a reply from them. Currently they are processing mid-January 2005 e-mails.

My temp GC stamp is expiring soon and my licence too, and i cant renew my licence cause my GC stamp. Anyway thanks for your help !

Thank you! I received my card on July 8. It took exactly one week after I got the approval e-mail. I got a card mailed e-mail on July 7, and my card arrived on July 8, so I guess they must have mailed it before July 7. Congrats on your approval. I think your card should come any day now. The 120 days notice is just a form letter that gets sent to everyone when they are approved, I guess.

My EB1 I-485 got transferred from NSC to VSC and to Boston. It is greatly delayed. Boston office continues to process cases that they received before my paperwork arrived there, even though most cases are EB3 with no visa numbers available. It would make sense to process EB1 cases first where there still are visa numbers available, Wouldn't it? Or are the rumours really correct. No visa # for any EB category for Indian nationals?

Well, here comes my Christmas present: just got a bunch of e-mails from CRIS that my and my wife's I485 AOS applications have been approved!!!!!!!!!

Still could not belive in it after being waiting for almost 3 years...

One I should say for sure: only filing a lawsuit against USCIS caused things to move around in USCIS.

Wishing good luck to all others who would find courage and time to fight for their cases!
