wow! a quick approval. congrats, you acted at the right time (the pain of waiting is more than the $1000). Virtually the service centers are waiting to pocket the 1000$, this is rediculous. I think the coffin is empty so they want to squeez the pockets of post-docs?

Did you e-file I-907 or did you mail it? In either case, did you see an LUD change on your pending case before it was approved?

Thanks,

premium processing

Is I-140 receipt notice a must for PP upgrade. Its been 4 weeks since I mailed my I-140/I-485 and my checks are not yet cashed in!! Can I just send the PP cheque with a copy of my I-140??

No, my lawyer filed by (express) mail. You can e-file though.

I noticed quite a few LUD, almost daily (even on Saturday and Sunday).

Yeah, it's about money.
Why don't they just raise the fees (say to $500) and guarantee a response in 1 month time, instead of this strange processing technique they are using (they say it's FIFO but it's NOT)?

My I-907 to upgrade my pending EB1-OR was fedexed on 10/02 and I suppose was received by USCIS on 10/03. However, I still do not see any LUD change on my case. I am wondering if this is normal, or if there has been something wrong in I-907 that our attorney has filed for me.

I'm not a postdoc. I'm a research scientist in a private R&D company specialized in contract R&D. Most relevant info follows as:
- PhD in engineering from US university in top 5
- 3 journal papers (1st author on two)
- 9 conference papers (1st author on all)
- Over 40 citations (counting only those by others)
- A dozen Technical Reports (controlled circulation because work related to contract R&D, principal investigal on 2, co-PI on the rest)
- Reviewer for two international conferences
- Winner of a few awards and research contracts among which a $750,000 contract award from DoD
- 10 reco letters
- Didn't mention anything about pending patent applications because lawyer said it wouldn't make any difference

.

Did your attorney send by overnight delivery (24-hour) or by second-day delivery (two working days)?

In both cases, as soon as it is received, you should receive 5 emails aknowledging the receipt of your application for premium processing.

Good luck

Overnight, I believe...

Are the emails sent to me or to the attorney/employer? I suppose it is the latter, because I am just the beneficiary.

Also our attorney is telling me that PP receipt emails sometimes take even more than two weeks and they sometimes receive the decision on a case even before they receive the emails!!

Your PP application should cause the status of your I-140 application to change. Therefore, you should receive the emails as well (if, of course, you've set up an account on the uscis.gov website to track your status changes).
Hope this helps.
