EB1-OR approved at VSC

After a pretty long wait my EB1-OR petition has been approved in VSC. Following are the particulars:

RD - Feb 21, 2002
AD - June 13 2003
No RFE !!!

EAD/AP received and FP done.

Looks like EB1 cases after a long gap have finally picked up steam in VSC. I have read about a few March, April 2002 cases getting approved or receiving RFE lately. So guys just hang in there. I did call BCIS 800 number last month and the lady took all my info. I don't know if that mattered.

Patience

This is a good meaning of 'patience'!!! Achat - congrats - you must be relieved especially when seeing VSC claims they are processing 5/8/02 cases. Do you mind sharing your qualifications?

Yes, it needed a lot of patience. Regarding qualifications:

PhD in Mechanical Eng. in 1999.
One year Post-Doc.
Working for Corning last 3 years.
10 Journal publications.
15+ conference publications.
1 Book Chapter.
Worked on several government grants.
6 Reference letters from people all around the world.

I think a lot depends on luck and how you package the petition. I have seen people with much superior credentials getting RFE in this category. Good luck to all, and if anyone needs assistance in being patient let me know
