Hooray!!!! :D

I'm happy to say that I just received my approval email from NSC.
Details in my sig, but a total time of 7 months for I-140.
I had some minor panicky moments, but our wonderful lawyer had great advice-- he recommended not switching to PP as he knew of all the problems they were having with the new adjudicators giving so many RFEs.

I hope this news is encouraging for the other ORs who are waiting for a decision from NSC! Next step....485.

Thanks to all for their participation in this forum. It's been very helpful.

Congrats... mine approved too!

I posted this in the other thread as well. 140 approved after 7 mos. from NSC. No RFE... As you said, the cover letter does it all. Had a great lawyer too!

Congrats WaryOR and Aroma_Kills. I too am entering my 6th months of gestation period (surely, thats what it feels like:o ) next week. So, I guess another month to go before I hear the good news...:)

I work for a major university with it's own immigration attorney; since the OR petition is actually submitted by your employer, you may not have a choice in the matter.

Good luck!

LUD after 9 months

Hello WaryOR and Aroma_Kills,
Did you see any LUD in your case before the approval. I filed In July 2006, receipt date 08/07/06 , and there is a LUD 04/24/07 after nine months. Just concerned about the RFE and how much more time will they take.

LUDs

ashEB1,

In my case, I noticed LUD around 1pm on 04/13 (NSC time) and the approval emails came later that day (~ 5 h later). And a LUD the next day (04/16). That is all. No other significant LUDs before or after those two days

Thanks Aroma_kills,
I saw the LUD yesterday night, nothing today. With your trend seems like its not an approval for me.
After how many months was your case approved/your file touched. I appreciate your mail.

I have no idea when they "touched" my file... My earlier LUD was in Oct'06... a week after the initial receipt... The receipt date is ~ 3 weeks after the actual receiving date (in Mid. Sept. 06)

I had my receipt notice, an LUD shortly after, and then nothing for 7 months until the approval notice...
I think that if you are not PP, they just "touch" the file when they get to it, and it seems like they make a pretty quick decision (according to my attorney, within about 15 minutes if it is an obvious "yes").

Best of luck to you! We are now doing 485 process...medical exams tomorrow.

Thanks Wary OR and Aroma_Kills,
Thats what I think with the LUD (non PP) they have finally gotten to the file after 9 months, its not an approval as I did not get any e-mails..... so can I assume it could possibly be an RFE. My friend told me you will have LUD consecutively for a few days when your application is being reviewed, I dont think they can afford to spend so much time now. Do they send e-mail about the RFE or will the lawyer just get the notice.
Good luck with the medical and rest of the application.
