Has anyone heard of any successful AC21 case for EB1 applicant changing to an engineer title?

Does he or she have to find a multi-national manager position? Anyway to get around this?

ginnu,
Sorry to bother you, but I couldn't find any thread of AC21 for EB1 MNC Exec/Mgr there. Could you please post a link to it?

waitingformygc,
I'm also in EB1-MNC-exec/mgr category, and wish to change jobs. However in my case, there is a *chance* that my work & title could remain the same. I had asked a lawyer about using AC21 in my case, heres what I got:

""
The issue of whether AC21 applies to EB1 / Multi-National
Executive / Manager cases is not entirely clear. The BCIS has issued
contradictory statements on this issue. On one hand, they have stated that
AC21 is applicable to all EB categories. However, at a recent meeting in
Washington D.C., one of the high-level policy officials stated very directly
that AC21 does not apply to Multi-National Transferee cases. The rationale
was that it would be impossible to remain with in a category [EB1 MNC exec/mgr -ed] in a different
job. That is, even though the job duties may be the same or similar, the
individual would not have the qualifying experience abroad with the company,
even if it was a Multi-National Company. I think that there are arguments
either way on this issue, but it is a gray area.

Let me know what you find, I'll keep this forum posted too.

Thanks,

- nik.
PS: My case is in CSC, even though I'm in (& always have been) Houston.

nikbert, thanks for your very useful information although it's a little disappointing.

Now I can only wish this gray area not to be cleared as long as it can be so that people in our category will still have a chance... :-(

Please do keep us posted on your progress. Looks like your approval date is getting closer.
