EB1-EA Cover Letter Question

Hi All,

I have a stupid question to ask. My lawyer is about to e-file my EB1-EA petition in the next couple of days. He sent me the draft of the cover letter today. He has written it short, concise and to the point. It comes to around 6 pages. I am claiming 5 criteria out of 10. The rest of the supporting documents will be attached to this letter.

My question is - Does the length of cover letter matter? I am quite happy with the material in the letter but am just worried about the length. In this forum, I have heard of folks having cover letter of 24 pages and so on. Can anyone shed light on this?

Thanks.

Actually my cover letter (actually memorandum signed by my lawyer) is also ~10 pages ... I saw my lawyer typed all reco letter as expert testimony to cover up some criteria and made it over 20 pages .. I don't know the final size of the memorandum.. she send me drafted copy with lot's portion deleted as per their policy

My cover letter was only 5 pages; of course, 46 exhibits were further attached (including recommendation letters - I only referenced them in the cover letter).

I don't think cover letter has to be lengthy but rather well-constructed, clear, emphasizing all the key points. Remember, the adjudicating officer wants to get it over with and go home, just like the rest of us... :)

My cover letter was only 5 pgs too. I don't think the length matters at all, as long as it conveys the msg.
