Does anyone know what the minimum amount a company needs to have in the bank to bring to USA from Australia a Multinatinal Executive. We were going to use a tempoary L visa ( inter company transfer) but were then told we needed at least $100,000USD in the company account to be eligible to apply. We are a new Not For Profit Company. We would be lucky to get that much in income after 3years of operating. I dont want to bother with the whole process again only to find out we need more money. Problem is we cant start operating the company or gaining income until we can get the President of the company to the USA form Australia.

Each case is decided on its own merits. Evaluate your evidence objectively. Here is a tool to help you.

Thanks Big Joe. We meet pretty much every requirement on this form. Heres the next trick question. Previously i have been told by animmigration lawyer in California that we needed at least $100,000 in the bank. All the directors are Australian Citizens and cant get a USA bank acct for the company, I have been looking at offshore bank accounts, But we need $5000 to open one of them. If we use an account in Australia that has been set up as an individual account trading as the business account, is that enough to look good for the immigration department to say that our company is raising money. We are non profit so to get $5000 to open an account ( other than a loan) is not a soon enough reality to give a good length of time of banking history. Does that make sense?

You should look at the L visa some more. The L visa has a provision for setting up a "new office".
