EB1 application while NIW pending

HI all,
Is it possible to electronically apply for EB1 while my NIW is still pending? I applied for NIW back in October 06 and my application is pending. I realized that I may have a chance for EB1 but I am not sure if this is possible. Thanks
 
It is perfectly legal and possible to apply for an EB-1 petition and EB-2 petition at the same time. It is also possible to apply for petitions in the same category at the same time as well (EB-1 EA and EB-1 OR). So if you feel your situation warrants it, and are willing to pay the fees, go ahead and do it!
 
Yes, they are two separate petitions as far as USCIS is concerned and you can use PP for your EB1A.
