EB1-1 Help Urgently!!!

I am a virologist. I have developed a new method to detect virus. This method is used by other students in my lab and they published a paper in which they cited my paper with a new method. My name does not appear in their papers but our boss name appears in my paper and their papers.

In EB1-1 application, can I say that other scientists in my lab use my method? I am worried. It means that it is just seft-citation because the boss name appears in both papers.

Please help to answer me!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
It would be much stronger if 1- You already have your own publication with your name on it that describes this method, and 2- people in other independent labs have used this method.

You can say that other scientists use your method, but it's much better if they say it and write a letter about this method. The more top-tier the scientist, the better for you. If it's another post-doc who uses the method or a staff scientist, its not going to count much.

I would like to fullfil one of 10 requirements that I hold an important role in my lab. But I do not know how to fullfil this requirements. Which evidences I should show. Other students use my methods. It is one part of holding an important role in my lab. But I am worried by self-citation. Or the letter from my boss is enough?
 
Jer 1st is right. I wouldnt go after that criteria this way. Ask your boss to write a letter saying how critical of a job you hold. That is the only way to do it. If you hold an important position you cannot claim it yourself - someone else have to say it. Good luck.
 
I also have one big problem. Please advise me. From 2003-2007, I do research with virus A in UK. Since 2008, I moved to a new lab in US and I am doing research with virus B. I am very worried that it is the same field of virology (even different virus) or diffrent field because of two different viruses?
I am worried because one of requirements is to continue the same field!

Do you really think USCIS adjudicators who are not even required to have a high school degree (basic reading & writing skills are sufficient) can tell 2 viruses apart? Don't worry about this, seriously.
 
Thank you very much. In US, how to send the application to Immigration? Via certified mail or which mail is the best?
Normally, certified mail has return mail system to let us know the Immigration received it. How about other mails?

Does this mail have return mail? It means that they will let us know Immigration Office received the application.
 
man - just get down to the shipping place and ask them the questions. You will get signature confirmation and tracking.
