Hi guys,
P.D just became current in last visa bulletin.
When can the INS assign the visa numbers?
Starting from May 1st or can they do it now?
I know for a fact that you can not apply for 485
until May 1st.

I think INS will look into the pending applications when they moved the PD.
One of my friend PD date under EB3 become current in March 2001. They approved
his case on March 2nd 2001.(EB3,INDIA,PD 05/97 RD 10/99) .
 He called INS in Feb last week sometime.INS informed him they will look into the case only after 1st March..

If your status is going to become current with effect from May 1, then your case can be processed only after that.
