Hi can you kindly help me? I heard that is getting tougher, is that true? The ammount of money is pretty signifficant and I am considering my chances:
1) MD, doing my residency
12 peer reviewed papers (almost clinical)
4 abstarcts in journals
12 posters/presentations
75 citations (web of science), nearly 110 (google scholar)
No awards
12 Letters from (2 Europe, 1 Australia, 1 NIH, another 1 form goverment, 5 from USA, and 2 from previous employees, all of them holding positions, some of them big names)]
No media coverage

Are you from a country whose visa status is current for EB2? If not, why not go for EB1? EB2 (I'm assuming NIW?) seems to be retrogressed a lot for certain countries and I wouldn't consider going that route.

I think you have a good case for EB2 and worth giving a try.

Thank you for your reply. Yes I am interestibng in NIW
My thinking was that I am not that good/competitive for EB1 (no media coverage, no awards).
Why are you suggesting for EB1?
Thank you

I'm suggesting EB1 because you have a strong case (from my experience). If money is not a concern, just go for both. EB1 cases are eligible for premium processing these days - so you could know the result in two weeks. Besides, the passing bar is not that different between NIW and EA these days.

Good luck!

I-140 approved

Hi, just received the I-140 approval, I am still waiting for the final one, I-485,
DO you know how loing it takes?
Thank you for your overall help!

Hi Medicine1975, congratulation for approval of your EB2. Did you apply through attorney or self. where did you get your citations (ISI or google scholar or scopus)

Just learned that the I-485 is approved also. I filed with attorney (happy at the end...). Citations were from google scholar. How long does it take to have the Green card on hand?
Thx
Elias

I-485

Hello Medicine1975, Did you concurrently apply for I-485 with your I-140 NIW?
my NIW is approved recently. I applied for I-485 concurrently with my I-140 EB1-1 which is still pending. Do you have any suggestion how I can follow my case. I have worries if I need to refile I-485.
