Hi All:
I am a assistant professor at a State University. My green-card process is about to start. I want to know my chances for EB-1 OP category.
Following are my details:
1. Tenure track faculty position in an university. Teaching as main responsibility. I do serve on several academic committees on the University.
2. 2 Years of full time teaching experience + 4 years of research experience during graduate studies
3. 2 Masters. One in USA and other from India. No PhD.
I saw different criteria stated by USCIS. I am listing my achievement in each.
A. Major prizes or awards for outstanding achievement in the academic field:
No national or international awards. But two university level awards for research.
B. Membership in associations in the academic field, which require outstanding achievements of their members
I am a professional engineer and also have other 3 professional certifications. All of these require examination and other criteria. (I am not sure if this counts).
C. Published material in professional publications written by others about the individual’s work in the academic field
My publications have total 57 citations. Some of them are by co-authors.
D. Participation on a panel or individually as the judge of the work of others in the same or an allied academic field
I have peer-reviewed for 5 international journals total of around 15 articles.
I have mentored undergraduate projects (I am not sure if this counts).
E. Original scientific or scholarly research contributions to the academic field
I can get letter of recommendations based on my research work
F. Authorship of scholarly books or articles, in scholarly journals with international circulation, in the academic field:
I have total 7 peer-reviewed journal/proceedings papers. 10 conference papers and 1 master's thesis.
I'd really appreciate anyone with some experience going though this, ideally similar to mine, could comment. Thanks for any help in advance!!
