Early interview

Hello everyone!
I have several questions, actually...

1)It's been a month since my interview but I haven't gotten a letter with the decision yet.
My interview date happened to be just before my 5 year GC anniversary so the officer told me he'd have to come back to my file on the anniversary date and only then he'll be able to make the decision.
The interview went really well and the officer was very nice and knowledgeable. He said that they used to have a lot of applications before but now the load is much less so in some cases (like mine, for example) the interview might occur even before your 5-year anniversary (or 3 year if you're filing based on a marriage).
So I've read on this forum that some people had similar experience and now I'm worried that my case is 'lost' between other cases since they had to put it on hold. Is there any way I can inquire on the status right now? If I call the service center, I bet they'll tell me I have to wait 90 days, right?

2) Also, is it true that after your case is transferred to a local office, the online e-mail notifications stop working?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm afraid of this same situation. We'll see what Interview date I get, but I'm afraid it may happen before 6/15 based on how quickly everything has moved so far. I wasn't expecting this type of speed. I hadn't researched the N400 process too much before I applied and I was under the impression that it was still taking close to a year to process.

I'm thinking that if I get an interview date earlier than 6/15, I may send them a letter and ask them to reschedule me, that way my application will be approvable whenever I meet with them as opposed to ending up buried under other files.

I hope that you hear something soon.

As for the case status issue, yes, that seems to be the case, it no longer updates once your file is transferred to the local office.

Let me know too when you find out about your interview date. For me, I got their letter with the interview notice one week after my FP appointment - super fast.

So, is there anything I can do at this point?

It's only been a month since interview. Be patient.
Keep inquiring with an IO every 30 days or so about the status of your case. If your case still hasn't been adjudicated as you approach the 120 days after interview mark, consider contacting USCIS ombudsman and congressperson.

Thank you for your help, guys!
Overall, I'm very impressed by how fast things were moving so far. I'd say, they were super-fast! Two months from sending the application to the completion of the interview(!). So it's natural to start worrying when all of a sudden, things freeze especially when you were told to expect a letter in a few days...
