How advisable is it go for an early FP? Please provide your feedback. My second FP is scheduled for June 15th.

1st FP - 04/2002
2nd FP - scheduled for June 15th, 2004.
 
Since your case is second FP it is advisible to go early, just because your PD is up for approval in the near future, and the faster your records go in the file to complete it, the faster you get your approval.

any one having experience with early FP at San Jose or Oakland? Which one is advisable and is there any time of the day that is more likely for the ASCs to accommodate walkins?

I got it done today at san jose even though the fp was scheduled for june 15th at oakland. Hope this should not be an issue at all.

Has uscis ever asked anyone for an explanation for an ealry fp, and that too at a different center.

All center's FP reports are going to homeland security/cbi...then cleared certificate from them to respective Service Centers...

So, don't worry!
