As this forum was so helpful for me, I thought I would add my experience.
I am the derivative applicant for AOS, we moved in August and recieved confirmation for our change of address. My FP notice was sent to my Attorney (I never got a copy) and was scheduled for my old ASC for Jan. My husband did not recieve a notice.
we got the letter form our attorney and went to Charlotte ASC yesterday. Notice says that if we need to rescedule it has to be wed or sat- called the service center and they said that I can go only on the appointment date for FP at my local office.
anyway- got to charlotte at 2.45 pm, thought we would try that day although we were planning on staying overnight and going next day at opening. The security guard did not look at the date, or the sceduling office- we asked if hubby could get FP too- he said 'no leter no FP". So when I went to the actual FP person, I asked again, and showed a copy of my husbands application reciept. They took his info into a room to check up, then said yes he could FP too!!!! the whole thing took about 45 mins and we both came out with early FP's.
When we got home, there was an email form our attorney saying my husbands FP notice was recieved that day !!!! My attorney was also surprised that we got FP's early and for my husband too- said they had never heard of that.
Without this forum, we would still be waiting- go to charlotte and try for early FP's- these guys rock !!!!!
