Early attempt for FP in New Orleans failed

Hi all,

Those who planning to go for early FP in New Orleans, please be advised that they will ask you reason for early FP.

I said being University Professor, I can't come on schedule day and time. Supervisor was very nice person and explained me very politely that you should either come at schedule time and day or come any Wednesday after schedule date until next 187 days.

He said FP is valid for only 15 months, and there is reason behind scheduling FP --- Your FP should be valid before case is up for adjudication.

I didn't tell him that I have already waited 30 and half months before I got FP.

Actually, we went downtown to drop our friends to French Quarter, who are visiting us from Illinois. We thought it is worth trying as we were passing by INS office.

If you want to go early, please be prepared to be refused.

Same situation in Atlanta

I tried to get an early FP in ATL in the first week of JAN and they turned me away. I guess some offices are doing it while others are not. No harm in trying your luck. My FP date is a full month and a half after the notice. Such a waste of time. Can't do anything about it.

thanks for update- if its any colsolation guys, early FP does not seem to speed approval along anyway (leat not for me) :)
 
As I mentioned before in other threads, everyone should try your luck on Wednesdays to do the early FP.

Thanks. For us who are planing to go for early FP in NO you did a great thing. As I remeber one memeber of the forum experienced the same, maybe month ago. Anyway, as J. said it will not speed up our processes. Stay in tuch.

I am surprised to hear the case of the person that was turned down in atlanta. I was there in september 12th a saturday around 3pm the place was dead and they let me do early fingerprints with no problem.

Either they changed their policies or you need to find out what days are the days with less people and go then.

We had done early FP in ATLANTA.Try going on Saturday around 3. We where told that we where at walkin time and we did not have any problem getting it done early.Infact our case got approved within 9days of early FP and got stamped even before the original FP date.
 
Same here

Got early FP done in ATLANTA for spouse on Nov 13, 2004. A Week later got myself Fp'd using spouse's fp notice. Requested the officer.

Approved on 01/03/2005.

Friday and Saturday after 2:30 is a good time for without appointment folks.

Thanks for your responses. I think they have stopped taking walkins this year or maybe the officer didn't like my face :). Anyway I am going to be there at the scheduled date of 15th Feb. I don' want to waste my time by going there again.
