Early Appearance for FP at San Jose, CA

Guys, My FL is scheduled on March 22 at San Joe, CA. I know some people have gone for FL before the scheduled time, and I think it depends on the center to allow it. My question is has any one tried going to San Joe, CA before the FL date and got it done ? Is there any down side to this ? Any inputs will be appreciated.

Two of friends with cases in CSC tried that at San Jose (Story Rd.) but were refused. Now they will have to wait till March.
