I have received my EAD within the usual 6 weeks' time but my wife's EAD card was never delivered and had gone back to BCIS as undeliverable. The reason being that the address on my EAD application was old and the lawyer or BCIS screwed up while address change and changed address only on my applications but not on my wife's.
Now, I spoke to BCIS about 4 weeks back and the lady understood my case well. She had me file a request for re-issue over the phone and said that the EAD would show up within 4 weeks. She also said that my wife can go to a local office and get an interim EAD.
Now, since my wife's EAD is not urgent for us, she never bothered to go to the local office and we decided to wait the 4 weeks instead. The problem is, 4 weeks have passed and the EAD card is a no show still.
I was wondering if it will actually help to get an interim EAD card to get the ball rolling? I was also going to call BCIS one of these days.
Meanwhile anyone who has gone through similar thing cares to comment?
