EAD Validity

Hi ,

There are two questions or two hypothetical situations I have regarding eligibility to work on EAD .

1). If the online status says one's EAD Renewal approved but lost the EAD card in mail , Can one work based on the fact that EAD is approved ?

2). The EAD is approved but there is a mistake on the card received for e.g. Photo swapped among spouses or wrong validity date etc. In this case can one work based on EAD renewal approved ?

Anyone that faced a similar situation that can throw some light on this will be greatly appreciated.

1. Yes. Call National service phone line and report non delivery. Try for interim EAD
2. Yes one can still work, since such typos or mistakes do not change the approval date.

----- send it for correction, keep the copy of both the sides of EAD with you and write out side the envelope :” Mistake of USCIS on EAD Card please correct” write a cover letter what is the problem/mistake on EAD. try local USCIS office if the can correct the mistake
