EAD valid for 2 years!!!

Wow, cool! What a major improvement!! Now BCIS can use their limited resources on pressing matters like approving I-485, I-140, ... instead of looking at the same EAD applications for the same person again and again.

Way to go BCIS!!

a good move, but...

the effects of this won't be visible until next year, i.e., people who apply/applied in this year won't apply in next year thus reducing the number of apps for next year. so imho, this is only a long term solution. we need interim relief, FAST.

Good news

They should retroactively extend all current AP and EAD to three years and this should free 80% of the IIOs.

Hope it is not just another error

My wifer's first EAD was valid for two years too, though the start date was 1 year in the past instead of the current.

I received my EAD in Dec from TSC but mine had just one year validity. Its nice to know that BCIS is coming out with these measures in order to speed up the process as well as to do away with repetetive tasks .. way to go BCIS.

My wife EAD case got approved on 17th feb and they mailed the card on 23rd feb. Today we got the card but validity is just for one year from date of approval.
