EAD to H4 Move - Possible?

Hi,

My wife was on H4, got EAD and started working. After she moved to EAD, her H4 paper got extended till 2012 Jan along with my H1 extension (6 years over and we got it extend for another 3 yrs based on the fact that my I-140 is approved). Now if she want to go back to H4 status for any reason, is that possible - without impacting green card process? If so what is the procedure?

if she stoped working on EAD before she got her H4 extension approved then she is on H4 status.
If she is using EAD after H4 extension then she is not on H4 status.
She can be again on H4 if she enter US on H4 and get I-94 based on H4 status.
FYI if her I-485 is pending she is also on AOS pending or I-485 pending status.
