EAD to H1B .. yes that's right..

Guys,

My EAD is going to expire (mid-June) before I receive the approval (exp. Aug). I was suggested to go back on H1B.

I have following questions.

1. When shall I apply for H1B?

2. Can I wait till last date of EAD expiration, and then go for 1 week of unpaid leave, while prepare to apply for H1B?

3. And when can I resume work? Do I need to wait for H1B approval? or I can work based on H1B receipt?

Gurus, .. please advise.

I am also in the same boat. can you please share your exp ? But I confirmed with my Immigration attorney that we can work as long as the H1B is filed.

is the H1B cap filled in a day this year? I don't believe there is any H1B left for this year 07 and 08.

I am cap exempt as I have not completed 6 years and my original h1B application was subject to the cap.
