EAD to H1

Hi ,

Can any one guide me if EAD to H1 is possible. I switched my company and used EAD in Oct 2008 , but i did renew my H1 from previous company valid till 2011.

Is it possible to revert back to H1 (h1 transfer ) . I am pending 1 485 .



The reason to revert is , I want to bring spouse to USA and I dont know which category of visa is applicable for her while i am on EAD

Yes you can, go outside the US, get new H stamp from overseas consulate if the stamp in your pasport is expired, re-enter back with the H stamp, get I94 and from that day you are H. Update the I9 with your employer as H and keep the EAD and do not use it.
With EAD you can not bring spouse to US, you have to have visa for that purpose.

I believe I have to first do a H1 transfer to new company under whom i currently work on EAD and then go out of country and get it stamped.

Can my spouse come along with me and we both do the H1 and H4 together or do i have to come back to USA first upate the I9 with employer and then she gets her stamping

whatever you like alone or with each others
