EAD to H1

My wife and I have I-485 pending local DET office.

She was on H4 before but now she is working on EAD for past 1 year. To be on safer side its good to have H1, in case I-485 is denied.

Can her employer file h1? ANd then when we get I-485 approved, switch back to green card?

good to be on H1B

it is laways a good idea to be on H1B. Her employeer can file for her H1b. I got the same thing done, from H4 to EAD to H1.
