EAD to H1? Earnestly and urgently need advice.

I applied NIW last July. I am going to graduate soon, but may not have enough time to find a job and apply this year's H1-B. If I find a job later, may I use my NIW based EAD first, then apply H1-b next year?
The reason I still want to apply H1 is becuase my job may be somewhat different from my NIW field.
If I can apply H1-b next year, will this application make my 485 application invalid? Do I need to reenter U.S. to acitivate the H1?

I think using 485 based EAD, then applying H1-b should not affect green card application at all, right?

Since you are going to graduates soom, why don't you apply for OPT? I'm sure there is no problem applying for H1B after OPT but I'm not sure about NIW baeds EAD.

OPT would require F-1 status, which is problematic with an immigrant petition (NIW) having been filed.
