Hi! Has anyone done walk-in FP at Detroit location? I can't get appointment before sept. 10.

Please reply.

RD July 21 2005
FP Sep 10 2005
 
LUD on I-485, but nothing on EAD

I just received an email saying that NBC reviewed my FP on Aug 24, so they have resumed the process of my I-485 application. I did my FP on 16 Aug.

Nothing about the EAD :(
 
EAD Approve on same day or next after FP?

Hi everyone,

Thank you for making such a nice thread.

I was refering other's timeline for EAD and noticed something.
Some applicant got approved on a same day or in next few days when they had FP, or even before FP.

Is there any certain situation that they got approved so early after FP?

Beacuse i have figured out it takes forever to get through FBI name check.
( i understand as FP is what you may be needed for FBI name check,is this correct?)

My timeline is,

RD July 18
ND July 21
FP Sep 6
(485 interview Sep 8)

EAD Renewal

My Current EAD expires on 9/8/2005 but applied for EAD Renewal on 08/17/2005(too late?) and got FP appointment in 10/12/2005.

So please advise me is it ok to walk in to DC area service center to get my FP done in order to get my EAD approved before it expires? or it is ok to wait till FP date as I am not working on EAD right now?

Note MY FP for 485 done on this year April 22nd. I got MY EAD last year 9/8/2004. Please see my signature.
 
Does anyone know what is wrong?

I have been watching the timeline for EAD kindly listed in this thread. But since Aug 9 no approval has been posted. What is going on?
It took around 70 days to get a EAD approval but mine is over 80 days already. Has anyone get anything during this time?

Also, for I 130, they say:"respond within 90 days," I haven't heard anything yet. Should I walk in and ask about I765 and I 130 together, do I need the sponsor to be there with me for I 130?

You can make an appointment at your local office and try to get an interim EAD. You can tell them it is an emergency and that you will be out of your job if they don't give you one. Have some supporting paper work with you.
 
wait-wait: Checking back at the timeline table,http://boards.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?t=178929&page=16&pp=15 you will see Cherr1980 just got approved on August 23rd. Thing’s moving although seem a bit slow. Hope your good news will come real soon.

At this point of time, It seem like processing time is getting longer and longer.
If it still keeps having the same trend, 90-days processing time will be reach and all the customers will have to go to DO and get their interim cards. This will be another crazy scenario. 80 days waiting time should send the big warning sign to NBC...By the way, It’s only my opinion.
 
If I had to take a guess as to why things have been moving slowly in the past few months, I would say because they are taking their vacations. And I would hate to guess how many weeks off a Gov. Employee has.

I was wondering and waiting like all of you to get my EAD approved...It's been more then 40 days since I complieted my FP/Bio, and no news from USCIS, no updates on my portfolio...Thanks the input from Cherr1980 I decided to call USCIS and ask what is the matter, since they are making desissions for application sent after June 30, and my receipt notice is June 24th...the women at the call center try to get a rid of me at the beginning telling me the story about 90 days waiting period....I beg her to check the records and it came, it was an error in my files, so I have to send them a letter asking to correct my application. If not this phone call, I would wait till 90 days are over, they wouldn't send any note :mad:

Maybe it wouldn't be anything strange at this strory, but...I went 3!!!times, to local office, to ask whether there is everything ok with my application...they told me the same, wait 90 days...
I makes me so angry, that we have to go throut cases like this, because of the incompetent people sittig on the USCIS chairs! Be awere, and if you think they may be something wrong, just call USCIS, and let them check everything again, ask them, if they are sure, there are no errors, mistakes from your side.

My EAD is approved on 25 Aug,2005. 9 days after my fingerprint. I will let you all know when I actually get the EAD.

help! what is wrong?

I cant't help telling my story of this damn application by now:

My application supposed to be filed on May 24th, 2005, the day my husband became a citizen. To avoid any delay, I hired a lawyer. However, his assistant delayed my application to June 2nd, without telling me. After I found out and confront to the lawyer he told me it usually take them some time for preparation and review although the contract/$1200 paid to law firm on 5/6/2005.

I insisted that I had paid ahead of time for them to start early and made it very clear that they should file it on May 24. The lawyer said 8 days is not a big deal. Obviously his comment made me very angry!

After I got the notices( Receipt date: 6/2/05, Notice date: 6/17/05), I found there's wrong spelling of my name on the I130 receipt. I corrected it by calling the 800# by the end of June. Will this delay the process?
I was late according to lawyer's assistant for FP (7/14/05). She said the EAD delay is probably because of late FP.

I called the law firm today again since they told me it takes around 1.5m and later 2m to get EAD before, and asked if they can be any helpful since I have been waiting for over 80 days. The assistant told me it's 90 BUSINESS DAYS at first, and later according to the lawyer she told me to get a stamp on my passport after 90 days.

I can't trust this lawyer anymore, neither INS. Anything could be wrong! But what can I do if the assistant submit a problematic application from the beginning and INS was confused although all the required forms are there. Will that be the reason why I did not receive any RFE or response over almost 3m?
The receipt date was printed 6/2/05 on the paper, but it says they received my application on 6/17/05 (Notice date) on the online status check. Is that a problem?

There is a 800# on the receipt. It said call the number once you get the receipt and arrange an appointment for fingerprint. Call it like 8 am tomorrow, really depends on where you are, my FP was 42 days after (I am in CA), hope you can make an earlier appointment.

Some people said they walked-in for FP, I did not know I can do it until I read this forum, so I waited the 42 days.

I read from other website, they said MSC waits 45 days then they check if they have your FP, if there is none, they will put the case aside and wait until they get your FP. I think this is my case, so I got an email telling me they resumed the process of my application 1 days after my FP.

Many of us have used this information to guide us during EAD process. I believe we're all deeply thankful for his kindness and generosity.
Unfortunately, he’s no longer able to update this table at all time as he said in first page on August 7th, 2005. BTW, I hope he will help us from time to time if available.
So I use his table to quote/re-quote/copy/paste at my own discretion.

Here is my time line:

mailed 08/13/2005
RD - 08/18/2005
Called USCIS 800 # on the Reciept Notice. Got FP & Biometrics date of :
1st attempt at 8 am on 08/26/2005 - Systems are down sorry.
2nd attempt at 8.02 am on 08/26/2005 - Appointment on 10/06/2005 at Naperville, IL.
3rd attempt at 8.30 am on 08/26/2005 - Appointment changed to 09/10/2005 at Norridge, IL ASC.

Looks like you have to keep trying to get the best time. The 3rd attempt person was very nice and infact shpped around fo alternate dates and gave me the best available.

Also the ASC code - 3 for I 485 gets you a later date and ASC code - 2 for I 765 gets you an earlier date. So, just a suggestion, try to schedule your I 765 first and then say ask for I 485.

Thanks Koobe, I am also in CA. I called and got an FP appointment for Oct 5 which seems pretty late. Do you have any idea how long it takes after the FPin CA? I am in the bay area (SF).

I had FP appt in SF office on 16 Aug. I have ND of 28 June. Then on 18 Aug, NBC said they were processing application with ND of 30 June. Then I got an approval on 25 Aug. I hope this will help.
 
LUD dates are CRAZY..

Hello all,
Applied for renewal of EAD/AP by online on June21st... send documents by mail after that...
LUD changed on July19th reflecting with FP done at SJC on that day.
no changes after that.... If you think, my case was not touched after that you are mistaken...

On Aug26th, I got AP approval in mail. still the lud shows that July19th date.
Today Aug29th I got EAD approval in email stating that case was approved on August 18th.
Today the LUD's changed to 8/29/2005.

my experience with LUD monitoring seems to be crazy with the date change not reflecting the right picture....
