EAD timeline after RFE

RFE & special envelope

I received a RFE. USCIS only asked to return the letter and that was a yellow one too. Didnot get a special envelopp . I`ve sent back the evidence. USCIS acknowledged the receipt via online update on the latest LUD on 485

Hi guys!
I had almost the same situation as ari4u.The INS asked me to send them translation of my birth certificate(BC).But had already sent them my BC with all supporting docs.I called them and they answered that they could overlook it.When I sent again,I put on top of yellow paper a cover letter.Since than nothing have changed.No appointment for finprints/biometrs.Wnen I called they told that I should call later,because my case was not out of process.What's going on????????

OKay, i sent my RFE response in a regular USPS envelope with a big label on top that reads "Response to RFE for I-485". Thanks for your help guys. My online updates suck, so i wont know if my mail was accepted or not. :rolleyes:

EAD after RFE

Hi All,

Thank you all for the tread: it gave me yet another evidence that at USCIS hands don't know what the head is up to: whenever I called, they stated that EAD/AP doesn't depend on Medical Exam... yeah... right...
Here is my timeline:
sent USPS 06/10/05
RD 06/13/05
ND 06/24/05

FPA 08/02/05

RFE letter rec don't remember
RFE docs sent 09/27/05
RFE rec USPS 10/04/05
RFE rec notice 10/07/05 LUD 10/07/05 10/13/05

EAD/AP email that they processed LUD 10/19/05 on both

AP email that AP is mailed 10/18/2005 LUD 10/20/05
EAD email that EAD is mailed 10/20/2005 LUD 10/21/05

I130 LUD remains 08/03/05

AP/EAD were received 10/24/05


Pretty much the same time line a friend of mine has - he sent his medical 2 weeks before me, and received his EAD/AP two weeks before me as well ;-)
 
I got a RFE on i485 to which i responded,it's way over 90 days since my ND but instead of a EAD I got an interview letter scheduled for December 1st how bizarre... :mad:

you can simply go to local office and request an iEAD (interim EAD) valid for 6 month

my interview is in a months time is it worth the hassle to go get the iEAd?
 
Yes get an interim EAD.You do not know if you will be approved at that time. Security check may be pending.

Finally, I got my EAD in the mail on Nov. 1st although my LUD has not changed on the web. On Nov. 2nd however my LUD changed to:
This case has been approved. On October 31, 2005, an approval notice was mailed. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.
Which is weird since they usually send you two emails before the EAD gets mailed; one for the approval and one telling you that it has been mailed. I am not complaining :) now that I got it.
One more thing, I went to the DO on Oct. 11 to get an EAD but the officer told me that she had to clear it first with NBC and she will call me the next day with her decision. Of course, no one called the next day; I guess this is her way of telling me to buzz off. Anyway, I made another infopass apointment for Oct. 14 and went and talked to a different officer who looked at my job offer letter and then gave me the iEAD for valid 8 months. That was one of the happiest days of my life. I guess the moral of the story is, if you are in a pinch like I was and really need the EAD, and the first officer would not give you one for some reason, you can try again but make sure to talk to a different officer. This tells you how subjective this whole process is.

The lady from INS told me that it would take 60 full days after RFE and before they would look at case again.вот как :mad:
 
RFE Question

Hi all...

Do you know if you can get an iEAD even if you haven't responded to the RFE yet and you are past the 90 days period? My 90 days will be up soon and my RFE response may take some more time.

Also, for CHICAGO DO do you have to get an InfoPass appointment for getting iEAD or do they allow walkins as well? Infopass is not showing any available time for an appointment this month or next.

Address to send the RFE to?

The RFE letter I have does not mention where the response should be sent to..I had sent the original application to the Chicago lockbox facility. Is that where I should send the RFE response as well? Pl' let me know....

EAD Renewal, Name Check Process

Hello,
I had My Interview and it went of well, the office told Me they were waiting for the Name check results from the FBI.

He told Me to write an E-Mail, if I don't get the results with in 30 days.

I want to know the process, what I should do now for the Name Check process. I heard that I can E-Mail to fbi, what do I need to Mention in that Mail.
1. Name
2. DOB
3. A#
4. EMail Address

Should I need to tell them any more Information. How long should I wait for their reply, if not what should I do from there.

I have to renew My EAD and AP. I travelled out of the country using AP, the I94 they gave Me has a valid date more than My EAD, does it mean My EAD is valid till the new I94 date.

What are the documents I need to renew for My EAD.
1. I765

What are the supporting documents needed for I765, EAD renewal.

Do I need to submit, I130, I485.

I have My AP, which I applied valid for the next 8 months, should I still apply for AP, I131.

After I765 approval: How long to get the card?

RFE (submitted 11/19/2005)- Medical/ immunizations
Approval of I-765 and card ordered (21/12/2005) - email from USCIS
Email alert about mailed Notice document for approved I-765 - (22/12/2005)

MY QUESTION:
How long will i have to wait before i receive the card (EAD)?
Will this card come with the notice document?

RFE for birth certificate (weren't happy with the one I sent).
