EAD timeline after RFE

Hello,
I am starting this thread for people, who have filed family based I-130/I-485 with MSC/NBC , because they are married to USC and are waiting on their EAD. I am interested in the experience of those of you who got an RFE (for medical for example) and how that affected the timeline of their EAD approval. Please post your application/time line/RFE time/experience.
Here is my info:
I-485/I-765 mailed on 5/13/05
RD: 5/17/05
ND: 6/16/05
FP: 6/25/05 (walk in)
RFE: 7/20/05
RFE received by USCIS: 8/4/05


They requested my medical in the RFE. I did my medical and sent it on 8/2/05.
I am not sure how this might delay my EAD approval. It has been almost 90 days since my RD. Please post any experiences you had with RFE and EAD approval.

I have the same case as yours and the following is my info:

I-485/I-765 mailed on 5/27/05
RD: 5/30/05
ND: 6/16/05
FP: 7/6/05
EAD Approval:8/8/05
AOS : no LUD yet

I got an email from the USCIS last Monday telling me that my application has been approved and that my card will be mailed to me soon. From what I've heard, it takes about 3-5 days for the card to arrive.

As for the I-130 and I-485, I don't have any LUD yet... I shouldn't have any problem with the Medical since I attached all my records when I sent my application. Maybe all I have to do is to wait. By the way, mine is with the California Service Center. What about yours?

Hi,
This thread was created for people who applied at the NSC and have not received approval for EAD due to an RFE. Congrats on your EAD approval, but I do not think that your case fits in this thread since you did not get a request for an RFE. Could you please delete your posting.

I have a similar case. They asked for RFE(non availabilty of BC) for my I-485. I 130 was approved on 4/6/2005. RFE was received by Baltimore office on 8/8/05. EAD renewal was applied to NBC online on 6/15/05. Currently PD for EAD at NBC is June 12th 2005. Deseperately waiting for either I485 or EAD as I have to go on without salary from next week. Please post any comments, suggestions if EAD is delayed because of RFE.
 
same for me

I had receive RFE for affidavit of support for my I-485 case sent to NBC and i still got my I-765 untouched almost two months . I wonder if every one received a RFE for the I-864 . What i want to know is did every body send it with their i-485 package ?
 
i also received an email from USCIS on 8/8/05 about an RFE on I-485. I (the lawyer) filed the whole package with the medical to Chicago lockbox. I dont know what they want b'cuz I havent recieved the notice yet.

Would I get the notice or the lawyer? I hope I get it soon !!!

ND-6/29/05
FP walkin - 7/5/05
RFE - 8/8/05

You dont seem to trust when a lot of people here mentioned that they said sent their I-864 with the I-485. Also, you should trust the instructions on the I-485. It specifically asks you to include the affidavit for support.

I just updated the timeline for EAD approval after RFE in the pdf attachment above. I have created this thread for family based applicants who got an RFE after they applied, to be able to track delays (if any) that an RFE mighy cause. So please stick to the rule. NO EMPLOYMENT BASED, NO APPLICANTS that did not receive an RFE ( affidavit of support or medical....etc.).

RFE 07/28/05 (birth certificate)
received @MSC on 08/10/05 email dd 08/12/05
FP 08/10/05 and LUD on i765

This could be one of a good thread for RFE people. BTW, would be please clerify me that why would you count waiting time after ND. Just little concern because I'm following another thread, EAD timeline by zoomzOOm, that count processing time from RD.
Time period between RD and ND varies from 5 to 30 days.

Since you have not received an RFE, maybe it is better to post yout case at EAD timeline by zoomzOOm. I am counting from ND since this is the date that uscis refers to when they publish their biweekly progress report.

Hello everybody

my timeline RD june 10th 2005
ND june 23rd 2005
FP june 27th 2005

i have not received anything in the mail so far and the processing dates for EAD c 9 on the USCIS website is ND of june 30th 2005. they haven't asked me for RFE or anything. Could anyone please advice what i should be do? who can i contact.

Make an appointment with your District office through infopass and go there with all your receipts and ask for an interim EAD.

my timeline is in Houston, TX

sent all app. 06. 07
RD: 06. 14
ND 06. 27
FP & bio 08.10
RFE 08.04 ( supplemental form to I 693, immunization )
sent back 08.15
Does anyone know, that it is OK if I faxed the form to my civil surgeon, she faxed back, so actually this was a copy. I had 87 days to complete, I am going to send the original, I hope that it will not result in a denial, in fact I hope, that they are getting to work on it.
One more thing.Do I have to go to the social security administration office to apply for SSN,whenever I am gonna get my EAD?

August 22, 2005 - RFE arrived to USCIS

Each time when we call and ask CIS if there is going to be a delay because of the RFE they say NO, because the applications are not connected, but it seems from your (and my) experience that if there is RFE you are not getting anything fast. I am still waiting for AP as well (which should be processed in 30-60 days). How my medical is supposed to be related to AP? :confused:

Some people seem to get a LUD on their FP and others don't. For example, user just_married got his EAD approved without any update on I-485 or I-765 about the fingerprints being received. I am not sure if their is a way to check if they received the FP, and I think from your experience and mine, calling the 1-800 # is a waste of time.
