EAD Stuff - Interesting

Guys/Gals:

Here's the deal: my EAD's 90-day frame has now passed. Boston Immigration office will be closed tomorrow. I talked about thsi in my earlier thread too. But the most important stuff is that according to my lawyer, as long as my work people is not bothering me, I should not worry. She says we applied on time and she will write a letter to my work people if they bother me. All is all, this is not going to affect my green card processing.
Now, my first EAD expires on June 19 and my 90-day frame from the 2nd EAD renewal application is due on June 17. Should I go to JFK building on monday and get the interim card? What documents do I need in order to get the interim card?
And how valid are the answers given by my lawyer?

Thanx,
JeremyR

You can not work without valid EAD.
Carry the normal paperwork- PP, old EAD, EAD receipt, 485 receipt, pictures etc

Interim EAD after RFE received at VSC

Hi,
I want to know if I can go for Interim EAD to Philadelphia center after my RFE as been received more than 30 days back. My original EAD papers were received in Dec 2003 and then after 120 days I got RFE for photos which I replied and sent new pictures.
Did anyone has similar experience with Interim EAD.
Is there any way to talk to Philadephia office to get clarification from them. National Service Center has told me to go for Interim EAD but I had bad experience last time for Interim EAD in April when Philadephia office told me that your file is on hold and that they cannot issue Interim EAD.
Please reply.

If RFE is issued the local office does not issue iEAD- even though the RFE mybe trivial and you have already responed. No harm in trying- if you neeed it.

Thans for your input.

So looking at our friend from Philly -- does that mean he can't work until his EAD gets through? But the thing is that he applied well before his first one expired. Thats not our fault, that's a problem with an immigration office processing time.

If the RFE is issued on a pending EAD local office do not issue iEAD even if your case is pending more than 90 days. If the status is changed from RFE issued to process resumed then you can go for an Interim EAD.
